What We Do
Conservation Corps
Community involvement with results
We work towards training tomorrow's stewards by tending to our world-renowned resources today. The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) and adult Islands Conservation Corps (ICC) are successful outdoor recreation and work training programs for youth and young adults. Our programs connect young people with local lands and waters through community collaboration and hands-on stewardship work.
Landowner Services
Free services for private landowners
The Conservation District brings resources to the table to help landowners improve the performance of their land operations. We are a non-regulatory agency that can link private landowners to technical assistance, professional planning and funding for their farms, forests, waterways and general resource needs.
Habitat Improvement
High-impact conservation work
We work with local, state and federal partners to achieve regional targets for environmental sustainability. Some of our partners include State Parks, National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife, San Juan County Land Bank, San Juan Preservation Trust, and many more.
