Landscape-scale restoration of island Garry oak savannahs and woodlands is a high priority. Click here to see a holistic project Storymap and learn why it is beneficial to cut down 1,700 trees across 27 acres of land.
Using three different methods to replant eelgrass - a critical habitat for herring and other forage fish that has died off significantly since the early 2000s.
In partnership with federal, state and local partners we are working with private landowners to expand suitable habitat for one of the rarest known butterfly species in the world.
